  • The family went international in 1985 under the Cipriani name when it opened a Harry's Bar branch in New York City in the Sherry-Netherland Hotel. It was time for The Big Apple to take their first bites of old school Italian hospitality. #CiprianiDubai #MyCipriani

  • The year was 1931 and something was stirring on the banks of San Marco in Venice. An idea that would echo centuries to come: “To serve is first to love”; The idea of simple timeless luxury, good Italian food and impeccable service.   • In 1948 Giuseppe Cipriani, inspired by Venetian painter Giovanni Bellini, concocted a pink fruity drink pureeing those small white peaches that he loved so much. Little did he know the impact It would make on the world of cocktails. Becoming so popular it’s still sipped today. Cipriani would greet the likes of Ernest Hemingway, Sinclair Lewis and Orson Welles, to name a few, who would eat and enjoy their nights away at Harry’s. #CiprianiDubai #MyCipriani

  • When learning that one of Harry’s Bar Royal patrons, the countess Amalia Nani Mocenigo’s doctor had recommended that she eat raw meat.   • Giuseppe Cipriani opened Cipriani Downtown on the corner of Broome and West Broadway, long before Soho became the exciting, eclectic neighborhood and hotspot for restaurants and shopping that it is today.   • Near the end of 2004, Giuseppe Cipriani acquired a beautiful landmark building at 55 Wall Street that previously served as the Merchant’s Exchange and the New York Customs House.
